Bundelkhand Defence Corridor Conclave
The Bundelkhand Defence Corridor Conclave was organized to bring together government, academia and industry to exchange dialogue on the various possibilities of developing ‘Make in India’ Defence technologies in partnerships, and the support provided by the state government. The chief guest for the event was Shri Awanish Awasthi, ACS & CEO, Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). In response to Shri Awasthi’s address on the upcoming Bundelkhand Defence Corridor with Kanpur as one of the nodal centers, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Director, IITK proposed to lease out 15 acres of the IITK land on Shivli road to UPEIDA on long lease for developing Defence Corridor Research Park. A part of the land i.e., 15 acres will be used to establish the Phase II of Technopark@iitk.
